What is a website to app builder?
A website to app builder is a tool that turns an existing website into an installable mobile app without rewriting it. It generates a native Android project whose main screen is a WebView — the same Chromium engine as Chrome — pointed at your site, adds an icon, a name, a splash screen and a theme, compiles it, signs it, and gives you an APK to install or an AAB to publish on Google Play.
Because the engine is Chromium, the rule is simple: anything that works in Chrome on Android works in the app. Logins, carts, checkouts, forms, video, maps, JavaScript frameworks. What the app adds is what a browser tab lacks — a place on the home screen, a launch experience, native tabs, push notifications, an offline screen, and a listing on Google Play.

Can a website app go on Google Play?
Yes. Google Play accepts apps built from a website provided the app does something a bookmark would not — its minimum functionality policy. Push notifications, native tabs, a splash-and-onboarding flow or offline content all satisfy it, and Play requires an App Bundle (AAB) rather than an APK for new apps. Both are covered by Pro.

How do I turn my website into an app?

What is the difference between a website to app builder and a web to app converter?
Nothing — they are two names for the same kind of tool. Both take an existing website and package it as an installable mobile app. Website to App is one; it builds Android apps from a URL, an HTML file or a ZIP.
Will my whole website work inside the app?
If it works in Chrome on Android, yes — the app uses the same engine. The known exceptions are social sign-ins that bounce through a third-party domain, popups that expect a second window, and sites that block being embedded. Each has a fix in the guides.
Does the app update when I change my website?
For a URL-based app, instantly — it loads your live site, so publishing on the web updates the app with nothing to rebuild. You rebuild only when the shell changes: a new icon, name, tabs or permission.
Can I publish the app on Google Play?
Yes, with Pro, which produces the App Bundle (AAB) Play requires and lets you sign with your own key. Play's minimum functionality policy asks that the app do more than a bookmark; push notifications, native tabs, a splash flow or offline content satisfy it.
Do I need Android Studio or any coding skills?
No. The Android project is generated and compiled in the cloud from the settings you choose. Your computer needs a browser and nothing else.
Does it make an iOS app too?
No — Website to App builds Android apps. An iOS build needs a Mac, Xcode and Apple's $99-a-year developer program, and cannot run in the same cloud pipeline. The iOS guide covers the realistic options, starting with a free PWA.
Can I convert a WordPress, Shopify or Wix site?
Yes. Those platforms render pages on their own servers, so you convert by URL: the app loads your live site. Logins, carts and checkouts work as they do in Chrome.
Will the app work offline?
A URL-based app needs a connection, but shows a branded offline screen instead of Android's error when it is lost. If you bundle an HTML file or a ZIP of a site instead, the content ships inside the app and works in airplane mode.
Is the APK signed, and can I update the app later?
Every build is signed. To update an app already on Google Play you need to sign with the same key it was published with, which is what Pro's own-key option is for. Updates also need a higher version code, which the builder tracks.
Is it safe to paste my website into a converter?
The builder only needs the public address of your site; it never asks for your hosting or CMS credentials. Your site's code stays on your server — the app loads it the way a browser does. The tools on this site upload nothing at all.
